Our equivalent.....

Yesterday on my way from work i noticed something ....nothing spectacular, in fact this isn't the first time I'm noticing this,but for some reason it stood out in my mind and in the blink of an eye it all made sense. I chuckled, i laughed, i snickered at it......a police car parked at the side of a doubles vendor, two officers in full uniform, napkins in hand, doubles laid upon such napkin, breathing in it at an alarming rate, i swear in that minute of traffic they ate about 5 between them. What i realized is,in the USA police men are depicted as having a weakness for doughnuts , i guess in Trinidad our equivalent to that is doubles....now if only we can make them work as hard as they eat and with such enthusiasm.....we would be in a better place eh.
